Mutt found an unidentified holed interesting medal

at the last coin show.

It took the Internet to provide the identification, as the American Numismatic Society collection had a full description of their 1931 gift of the same medal. #1931.58.193

Belzu was to prove to be one of the most prolific issuers of propaganda coinage and medals.

In 1855 he stepped down at the end of his term and was succeeded by his Son-in-law,

Jorge Cordoba.
